Qingzhen boosts low-altitude economy

Qingzhen's development and reform bureau recently organized a forum on the development of the low-altitude economy. Over 20 participants from 15 government departments, two enterprises, and seven vocational colleges conducted in-depth discussions on how to advance collaboration in the sector.

As a key hub for Guiyang's low-altitude economy, Qingzhen has laid solid practical foundations in multiple fields. During the forum, two enterprises shared their practices: one highlighted the achievements of low-altitude logistics technology in medical specimen delivery, while the other introduced an integrated training-certification-employment-application chain.

Government departments put forward demands and suggestions regarding safety supervision, logistics network construction, and cultural tourism integration, guiding policy formulation.

Local vocational colleges have engaged in talent cultivation and technical exploration. Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University has trained drone professionals since 2017 with a 1,400-square-meter training base, and a larger 33,000-square-meter integration base is expected to be completed by 2027. Other colleges plan to add related majors and explore specialized applications.

Moving forward, Qingzhen will strive to build a talent training base leveraging local educational resources, offering training and skill assessments to form a talent hub. By deepening government-enterprise-university cooperation, the city aims to accelerate the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy and establish a demonstration zone with distinctive local features.
