This year, Weicheng town in Qingzhen has been actively promoting rural tourism, transforming old environments into vibrant new landscapes. Once underutilized lands have been revitalized into thriving "shared gardens", herb gardens, and orchards.

"To develop our tourism industry this year, we revitalized unused hillside land, creating a 5-mu (0.33 hectares) ecological orchard, a 2-mu herb garden, and a 2-mu shared vegetable garden. These have become popular spots for tourists to experience the joy of farming," said Ren Hong, the director of the Shangshui village committee.
The passion fruit, a specialty variety known as "Golden No 1", was introduced from Guangxi. It is known for its rich aroma, full-bodied shape, juiciness, and sweetness.

Since its opening in June, the Shangshui village tourism project has welcomed over 800 visitors. The passion fruit orchard is now deeply intertwined with the tourism industry, continuously enriching the travel experience and promoting the integration of agriculture and tourism.
Looking ahead, Weicheng town plans to further expand rural tourism experiences, enhancing the development of the tourism and living industry and attracting more visitors from afar.
