Qingzhen charts new path toward integrated tourism and living development

In recent years, Qingzhen city in Guiyang has pioneered a new path toward integrated tourism and living development, centered around "ecological empowerment, cultural heritage, and industrial synergy".

Qingzhen boasts remarkable ecological advantages: situated at the 26 degrees north latitude, with an average altitude of 1,200 meters, it enjoys cool summer temperatures ranging from 17 to 24 C. With a forest coverage rate of 51.46 percent, it is a natural "summer retreat paradise".

The city's "homestay+" model has matured into a thriving sector. The "homestay+" industry has been integrated with local cuisine like barbecue and farmhouse dishes, activities like paragliding and agricultural picking, and wellness options suitable for long-term stays by the elderly. A highlight is the industry's integration with the rural cafe sector. This year, 26 rural coffee shops in the city have welcomed 38,000 visitors, and "cliffside cafes" have become a new attraction.

Qingzhen also maintains the principle of "not losing local cultures" while infusing modern vitality. In Hongfeng Lake town, the "Blue and White Village" retains the traditional Bouyei architecture, with indigo dye adorning the walls. More compelling is the "living heritage" approach: at Pingyuanshao Homestay, villagers teach tie-dye techniques by hand, transforming intangible cultural heritage from "exhibits" to "souvenirs".

From regular farm stays to lifestyle trendsetters, Qingzhen's transformation in the travel and living sector has not only revitalized rural resources but also painted a new picture of rural vitalization characterized by "beautiful ecology, thriving industries, and prosperous people".
