Kiwifruit cultivation charts path to prosperity in Jinqi village

In Jinqi village, Qingzhen city, the kiwifruit orchards are bursting with life as plump kiwifruits hang from the branches, showcasing the vitality of the land. With its unique ecological advantages, the village is crafting a new chapter in rural vitalization.

"Jinqi village enjoys abundant sunlight during the day, and the soil is rich in nutrients, which naturally enhances the fruit's sweetness," says Yang Guangbin, a local farmer. "We consistently use organic fertilizers and meticulously manage every step from pruning to thinning to ensure our fruits are large and sweet."

In recent years, the village has capitalized on its exceptional mountainous ecological resources, with over 200 households cultivating kiwifruit across 2,500 mu (167 hectares). Through scientific management and careful nurturing, both the yield and quality of the kiwifruit have steadily improved.

To expand market reach, the village has actively developed both online and offline sales channels. Employing e-commerce platforms, it distributes kiwifruit nationwide, while also enhancing local sales through partnerships and pick-your-own experiences for visitors. These "sweet fruits" are reaching more consumers than ever.

The fruit will hit the market on Sept 20, opening the doors to increased income and prosperity for the villagers.
