On Sept 4, the launch ceremony for the first phase of the Qingzhen Bauxite Recycling Project, focusing on desulfurizing 500,000 metric tons of high-sulfur bauxite, was held in Zhanjie town, Qingzhen city. This marks the project's transition to the production and operation phase, advancing regional green development and the efficient utilization of Qingzhen's bauxite resources.

Built by Guiyang Industrial and Commercial Asset Management Co, the project spans an area of 87.42 mu (5.87 hectares) with a total investment of 199.5 million yuan ($28.02 million). Key facilities include a coarse crushing workshop, fine crushing workshop, screening workshop, sedimentation tank, filter press workshop, reagent plant, and auxiliary production and utility facilities.
The project is designed to produce 440,000 tons of aluminum concentrate and 60,000 tons of sulfur concentrate annually. It is expected to generate average annual sales revenue of over 200 million yuan, with a total annual profit exceeding 10 million yuan. Additionally, the project revitalizes State-owned assets, enhancing corporate development and efficiency.
Using the rich bauxite resources of Qingzhen and surrounding areas, the project has managed to convert otherwise unusable high-sulfur bauxite into sulfur concentrate through advanced domestic production techniques, significantly enhancing mineral resource utilization efficiency and promoting the development of Qingzhen's aluminum deep-processing industry.
