Qingzhen Jurassic Dinosaur Town: A popular summer getaway

Since July, Qingzhen city's Jurassic Dinosaur Town has attracted 48,200 visitors, with weekend visits surpassing 4,000 per day, making it a popular summer destination for local families.

The town is an 870-mu (58 hectares) immersive theme park centered around Jurassic paleontology and the indigenous "Guizhou Dinosaur", with a total investment of 986 million yuan ($137.85 million). It combines science education, entertainment, and leisure. Since beginning its trial operations, the park has welcomed 480,000 visitors, with peak days in the tourist season seeing up to 15,000 guests.

The park features over 200 life-sized dinosaur replicas integrated with AR and VR technology. Along with expert-led educational sessions, the park allows visitors to gain a deep understanding of dinosaur habits and evolution. Facilities such as the VR Experience Hall and 4D Cinema use dynamic simulation technology to take visitors on a "Jurassic journey".

The dinosaur town also fosters school-enterprise collaborations using the city's abundant vocational education resources. It serves as an internship base, employment platform, and entrepreneurship space for students, enhancing their skills and competitiveness and supporting the development of tourism industry talents.

The town aims to continue its technological innovation, expand educational scenarios, and broaden the scope of school-enterprise partnerships, striving to become a benchmark project integrating "cultural tourism, talent cultivation, and ecological demonstration" and contributing to cultural tourism industry development in Qingzhen city and Guizhou province.
