The Qingzhen medical insurance bureau is actively promoting facial recognition payment within the medical insurance system, aiming to enhance the operational and management capabilities of medical insurance services.
Thirty-two health centers in Qingzhen serve as pilot sites for facial recognition settlement, covering various urban and rural areas, with a focus on regions with high business volumes, communities with elderly populations, and remote villages to ensure services reach all insured individuals.

According to Liu Honggang, deputy director of the Qingzhen medical insurance bureau, facial recognition payments accurately verify the identity of individuals purchasing medication and effectively prevent illegal behaviors, such as medical insurance card fraud and impersonation, safeguarding the security of the medical insurance fund.
To ensure the smooth operation of facial recognition settlements, the medical insurance bureau has organized training sessions for medical staff at the 32 pilot centers on policy regulations, equipment operation, and emergency procedures. The bureau has also developed visual operation guides, established technical support hotlines, and built a comprehensive service support system.
"We will closely monitor the facial recognition settlement process at the 32 pilot health centers, promptly addressing issues and summarizing experiences to provide insured individuals with a more convenient and efficient medical insurance settlement experience," said Liu.
