Qingzhen holds provincial collegiate mountain bike event

On June 28, the 2025 Guizhou Provincial Collegiate Mountain Bike Championship took place at Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College (Qingzhen Campus), bringing together hundreds of cyclists from 22 colleges and universities across the province for a fierce competition of speed and endurance.

The championship featured a challenging and visually appealing professional track, including Olympic cross-country races, team events, elimination races, and mixed team relay races. The continuous bends and elevation changes on the track tested athletes' endurance, downhill skills, and overall bike handling abilities.

In addition to the exciting battles among university athletes, the event also introduced a children's pump track race. This addition provides a wonderful platform for youth cycling development, aiming to discover and cultivate future talent in mountain biking.

Since 2020, the collegiate mountain bike event has been held every year at the Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College, providing a strong platform for talent selection, training, and technical exchange in mountain biking in Guizhou. It has also contributed to the overall development of sports, culture, tourism, and the economy in the host city.

Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College (Qingzhen Campus) is the first school in China to establish a comprehensive bike culture-themed park within the campus. The park hosts various events such as mountain biking, pump tracks, and extreme sports, playing a significant role in promoting the integration of sports and education, popularizing cycling, and nurturing future talent in Guizhou.
