Qingzhen tourism market booms during Dragon Boat Festival holiday

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Qingzhen attracted a large number of tourists with its rich tourism activities and unique attractions, showcasing a vibrant tourism market.

During the holiday, Qingzhen received a total of 320,000 tourists, an increase of 13.12 percent year-on-year. The total tourism revenue reached 167 million yuan ($23.25 million), up 14.39 percent from the previous year.

Starting from May 31, Qingzhen launched a series of tourism products under the theme "Qingzhen Invites You to Celebrate Dragon Boat Festival", featuring sightseeing, leisure, vacation, educational tours, and wellness tourism. A total of 33 cultural, commercial, educational, sports, and tourism activities were held, including the "Twelve Flower Gods Parade" in Dinosaur Town, the Beer and Lobster Festival, and rural tourism activities at Shilong Cave in Guanyou village, all of which received widespread acclaim from visitors.

To ensure a safe and orderly cultural and tourism market during the holiday, the culture and tourism bureau of Qingzhen organized daily patrol teams to conduct safety inspections and market order supervision. A total of nine inspections were carried out at 21 cultural and tourism venues. A total of five potential hazards have been identified, and rectification orders have been issued.
