Qingzhen launches chicken and breeding pig projects

The Qingzhen City Chicken Industry Chain Project and the Guiyang Dekon Core Breeding Pig Farm Project were launched on May 17 in Dazhai village, Xindian town, Qingzhen city.

The pig farm project, with a total investment of approximately 176 million yuan ($24.42 million), covers an area of about 299 mu (20 hectares). It will adopt a "company + farm" model to develop family farms for raising and fattening commercial pigs. Over the next three years, the project aims to establish a fully equipped 2,500-pig breeding and selection farm, with a total construction area of 27,000 square meters.

Qingzhen has also vigorously promoted the high-quality development of the chicken industry. Leading enterprises such as Dekon and Daxing have spearheaded this effort, adopting a "company + farmer" model to drive large-scale chicken farming. Qingzhen has four leading chicken enterprises, supporting over 1,000 farming households and providing employment for more than 3,000 people, with each household's annual income increasing by over 110,000 yuan.

The commencement of the two projects will accelerate the establishment of Qingzhen's modern agricultural industry system, injecting new vitality into the city's agricultural upgrade. Qingzhen will focus on building high-standard facilities and offering high-quality services, providing strong support for the projects to be put into operation as soon as possible.
