"Today, 900 metric tons of alumine will be transported through the land port to Guangyuan in Sichuan and Qijiang in Chongqing," said Liu Jun, deputy general manager of the Guiyang Qingzhen International Land Port.
Located within Qingzhen Aluminum and Coal Ecological Industrial Base, the land port is a key hub for Guizhou's integration into the national "New Western Land-Sea Corridor" strategy. It is adjacent to the Huyong Railway and close to the Xiamen-Chengdu, Shanghai-Kunming, and Guiyang-Qianxi expressways, as well as the S307 road, providing convenient conditions for "road-to-rail" transport.
"Since the land port opened, our business volume has maintained an annual growth rate of 10 percent. Last year, we handled 540,000 tons of cargo with a production value of 30 million yuan ($4.17 million)," said Liu.
Surrounding the land port are large industrial and mining enterprises such as Guizhou Huaren New Materials Co and Guizhou Huajin Aluminum Industry Co. The land port's large-scale and intensive management provides convenient and efficient logistics channels for these enterprises, enabling resource integration, reduced costs, improved cargo flow efficiency, and enhanced competitiveness.
Liu stated that the land port will expand its distribution warehouses to improve cargo storage capacity, advance the second phase of expansion and renovation, and strengthen communication and coordination with railway departments to enhance cargo handling efficiency.
