Qingzhen holds Nanjing University sketching exhibition

The Sketching Exhibition by Nanjing University School of Arts in Guizhou opened on April 1 in Qingzhen, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. It will run until the end of April.

The exhibition features 20 works, including oil paintings, traditional Chinese paintings, and sculptures. Each is an excavation and a unique artistic expression of the natural landscape, cultural ecology, and local culture of You'er village in Qingzhen.

You'er village, located near Hongfeng Lake, has beautiful ecology, rich local culture, a strong artistic atmosphere, and convenient infrastructure, making it an ideal destination for sketching. The Nanjing University School of Arts selected You'er village as one of its research bases and organized a sketching trip in April last year. Teachers and students sought inspiration from local scenery and customs and created many artworks.

The artworks were exhibited at Nanjing University this year and received praise from professionals in Jiangsu province. The School of Arts is now holding the exhibition in You'er village as they arrive for a second sketching trip.

On the first day of the exhibition, teachers and students had a lively discussion with local people and artistic rural construction workers about the village's unique rural revitalization methods.

In the future, You'er village plans to carry out artistic activities to attract more literary and artistic creators, use their popularity to expand local artistic influence, and accelerate the pace of empowering rural revitalization with art.
