Guiyang holds economic and trade exchange conference in Vietnam

The Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh city) - China (Guiyang city) Economic and Trade Exchange Conference was held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, on Nov 26, with Guiyang enterprises signing project agreements worth over 100 million yuan.

The conference featured a "Guizhou Products Going Global – Popular Worldwide" exhibition area and Guiyang's city image exhibition area.

The "Guizhou Products Going Global – Popular Worldwide" exhibition area was divided into three sections: industries, intangible cultural heritage and cultural creative products, and ecological specialty foods, showcasing over 100 items across 46 categories.

In the section for industries, automotive parts, wires and cables, and new energy vehicles drew interest from attendees.

In the section for intangible cultural heritage and cultural creative products, exquisite silver jewelry and silver tea sets, handmade bags and batik embroidery from the brand "Guiyang Gifts" were popular.

The section for ecological specialty foods featured products from enterprises such as Guizhou Guijiu, Guizhou Gui Tea Group, Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group, Guizhou Warmen Pharmaceutical Co, and Guiyang Nanming Laoganma Special Flavour Foodstuffs Co, encouraging many guests to stop and taste.

Guiyang's city image exhibition area showcased industries, industrial parks, transportation channels, culture and tourism, exchange activities, and ecological environment, presenting the images of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area to attendees.

At the exchange conference, Guizhou Tyre Co, Zhong An Technology Group and Laoganma signed agreements with Vietnamese enterprises, with contract amounts of 36 million yuan, 50 million yuan, and 50 million yuan, respectively.

In recent years, trade cooperation between Guiyang and ASEAN countries like Vietnam, has become increasingly frequent. From January to September this year, Guiyang's trade volume with Vietnam increased by over 20 percent year-on-year.
