Qingzhen reports robust tourism revenue during holiday

According to statistics collected by the Qingzhen cultural, sports, radio, film and tourism bureau on Feb 18, during the Spring Festival this year, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 544,242 visits, indicating a year-on-year increase of 81.26 percent.

It generated about 277 million yuan ($38.59 million) in tourism revenue during this time, showing a surge of 93 percent when compared to last year.

To create a safe and festive atmosphere, Qingzhen arranged a series of cultural and sports activities to celebrate the festival, such as couplet writing, ethnic dances and singing events, street concerts, lion and dragon dances, and square dance competitions.

The city's comprehensive law enforcement department has conducted inspections in 51 cultural and tourism locations to ensure that the public have a safe holiday.
