Qingzhen boosts urban employment with effective actions

In 2023, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, reported 10,534 newly registered employed individuals, exceeding its yearly target.

Of this total, 3,056 were previously unemployed, and 839 were people in key social groups having difficulties finding jobs.

Through the city's public employment service platform, the human resources and social security bureau of Qingzhen city has improved the registration process for unemployment and employment. This has strengthened the dynamic management of unemployed and employed individuals, and established smooth channels for job matching.

As of now, 255 new public welfare positions have been created, and a total of 3.23 million yuan ($449,939) in subsidies has been granted for public welfare positions. Additionally, subsidies totaling 26.6 million yuan have been provided for college graduates who participate in job-seeking and entrepreneurship activities. Another 299,800 yuan has been granted for employment internships, and 28,200 yuan has been provided for social insurance subsidies.

By the end of 2023, the city organized 127 online and offline job fairs, promoting more than 74,000 job positions in over 1,500 companies.
