Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, encouraged the use of idle land to build more family farms by creating special agricultural brands, forming large-scale, centralized and modern agricultural operation models, and developing edible fungi, herbs, and other special growing sectors.

Existing family farms in the city will be awarded. The government allocates 200,000 yuan ($27,860) in funds every year to family farms that are recognized for the first time as national and provincial demonstration family farms. So far, a total of 10 million yuan in funds have been given to such farms.

The government also helps local farmers form "company + family farm" agricultural consortiums with all kinds of talent. So far, 1,006 family farms have been set up, creating more than 8,000 jobs.
