With the continuous acceleration of urbanization, the number of school-age kids from outside Qingzhen is increasing year by year. The city's education bureau is making every effort to expand the supply of educational resources and improve the conditions of small schools in rural areas.

The bureau has invested approximately 310 million yuan ($43.18 million) since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), implementing 26 preschool education projects and creating 5,600 new enrollment slots. A total of 15 high-quality public and private schools in urban areas have been assigned to support 20 primary and middle schools in towns.

During this period, a total of 1.99 billion yuan was invested in 83 education projects, with 73 completed and 10 ongoing. This will create 19,000 new enrollment slots and significantly improve school conditions.

A total of 43.53 million yuan in student aid has been distributed, benefiting 75,000 students in need. Additionally, 116 million yuan has been allocated for the nutrition improvement program, benefiting 278,200 children.
