Qingzhen Economic & Technological Development Zone is Qingzhen city's major economic contributor, accounting for more than 65 percent of the city's industrial output.

The CPPCC Qingzhen Municipal Committee has taken proactive steps to support local businesses by assigning various industry associations to help address any practical issues that may arise.

Research showed that the zone has worked out many ways to serve local firms, including establishing a one-stop corporate service center and promoting collaborations among banks, governments, and enterprises to create customized financial products. However, it took much work to solve problems involving higher levels of government or different government bodies.

Against this backdrop, the committee has hired college experts and scholars to set up a local think tank. In addition, committee members were encouraged to negotiate with enterprises and other units involved when meeting a problem.

Progress has been made over the past two months. For example, a new aluminum processing firm in the zone complained about the expensive natural gas facility installation fees. After negotiation, the gas company agreed to provide technical guidance to the firm, and the firm is set to be responsible for part of the installation and construction work, which promises to cut the fees.
