Urbanization is an essential part of sustainable and healthy social development, and over the past five years, the central urban area of Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has increased by 50 percent. Qingzhen's total annual industrial output also doubled, characterized by the advanced manufacturing sector mainly dominated by the aluminum and aluminum processing industry.

The city has been selected as a national demonstration county for new urbanization and is among China's top 100 counties with the strongest tourism industries.

In the next few years, the city will continue its renovation of old urban residential areas, shanty towns and laneways, build eleven 15-minute living circles, and seek to improve facilities in local parking lots and farm produce markets.

In addition, its backbone aluminum and aluminum processing industrial chain will be further extended to auto trade, engineering machinery, mid- and high-end furniture and special food.

Furthermore, to attract more college graduates, the city will accelerate the construction of investment projects, create more job opportunities, and maintain a positive interaction between population growth and economic development.
