Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently rolled out a policy package to help graduates from colleges and schools at Qingzhen Vocational Education City find jobs and start businesses in Qingzhen.

An annual special fund of 10 million yuan ($1.57 million) was proposed to fully support employment and entrepreneurship among teachers and students in the vocational education city and to improve their academic skills.

In addition to graduates from four-year universities, the measures also target graduates from junior colleges in the vocational education city.

Graduates from the vocational education city who seek employment or start businesses in Qingzhen can receive support in terms of settlement expenses, housing subsidies, and rental subsidies for talent apartments, entrepreneurship, education, and skills upgrading.

Depending on the academic title, they can apply for a one-time settlement subsidy of 12,000 to 60,000 yuan.

Those who start a business in Qingzhen can obtain up to 10,000 yuan in self-employment subsidies, and can apply for a guaranteed start-up loan of up to 200,000 yuan with a term of no more than three years.

In 2022, Qingzhen will seek to provide more than 10,000 jobs, prepare 900 housing units for talent, and attract at least 6,000 graduates with a college degree or above to stay in Qingzhen for employment and entrepreneurship.
