Fu Tao, Party chief of Qingzhen city – administered by Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – headed out on a fact-finding trip to visit traffic safety checkpoints, local firms and construction sites. The aim was to ensure that appropriate novel coronavirus pandemic prevention and control measures and safe production was being undertaken during the recent Tomb Sweeping Day holiday on April 3-5.

Fu called for the work shift system to be ramped up to handle any emergencies during the festival.

At a traffic safety checkpoint, Fu checked the standing book that recorded the information on passengers and vehicles that passed by.

At the premises of Guizhou Kaiyuan Explosive Engineering Co, he was introduced to the company's smart visual monitoring platform.

At the offices of Qingzhen Public Transport Co, he checked whether fire extinguishers and safety hammers were in place on a bus, and was briefed on the daily security tests of the firm.
