From January to August of 2021, a total of 95 new industrial projects were established in the city of Qingzhen in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, accounting for 118.75 percent of the annual goal.

The Qingzhen government has sub-divided its investment goal and assigned specific items and tasks to specific individuals.

Focusing on two 100-billion-yuan ($15 billion) industrial clusters – advanced manufacturing led by the recycled aluminum sector, and modern services dominated by the trade logistics sector – the government has worked to address the weak links in industrial chains. The 22 advanced manufacturing projects in Qingzhen involve 11.12 billion yuan in investment, and 16 modern service programs introduced in the city involve 2.3 billion yuan in investment.

Multiple investment promotion methods have been adopted, such as government leaders launching investment promotion campaigns outside Guizhou, and introducing businesses through intermediary institutions.

By the end of August, Qingzhen's business promotion squads had been to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and other cities, launched 51 activities, and established dialogues with 195 renowned enterprises.

The government has also carried out full-life-cycle service mechanisms to offer systematic, standardized, precise, and professional services to investors.
