english.guiyang.gov.cn|Updated: 2021-09-01

To crack down on illegal behavior in the wine production process, protect consumers' rights, and promote an increase in wine quality, the Qingzhen market supervision and regulation bureau has launched a special campaign.

The accountability of wine safety was further strengthened in the campaign. Wine manufacturers were required to scrutinize the materials they used for wine making, implement careful tests on their products before sending them to the market, and make their wine more traceable.

Adding industrial alcohol into wine or using other forbidden additives has been banned in the city. The bureau also prohibited acts that involved producing fake or low-quality liquor.

Other activities, including imitating well-known spirit brands, false marketing, and over-pricing wine products, are also illegal.

In addition, the bureau has broadened channels for customers' claims on wine, and has strengthened publicity to raise their ability to distinguish genuine wine from fake wine. Wine business operators were told to enhance their industrial credibility and self-discipline.
