The human resources and social security bureau of Qingzhen city -- a county-level city in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has continued its initiatives to secure employment and help of the relocated people from impoverished areas.

The bureau had built an employment and entrepreneurship services center for poverty alleviation for the relocated community in Zhanjie town in Qingzhen.

With an investment of more than 50,000 yuan ($7,250) to purchase office supplies, the services center with two labor assistants and a training classroom has been put into operation.

Since 2017, the bureau has carried out various forms of vocational training for relocated people, including cooking, housekeeping, clothing sewing and ethnic embroidery, and provided information on labor policies. To date, 712 relocated people have received training.

Meanwhile, the bureau has regularly organized job fairs for relocated people in Zhanjie town.

In 2019, 11 special job fairs were held in Qingzhen city, providing more than 8,600 positions, attracting a total of 170 enterprises and more than 1,800 job seekers.

The bureau has also established public welfare service positions for relocated people with employment difficulties and 27 relocated poor laborers have been appointed to the posts.

In addition, the bureau has overseen the construction of poverty alleviation employment centers and workshops to encourage poor families to find jobs near home.
