The human resources and social security bureau of Qingzhen city, in Southwest China's Guizhou province, has done a great job in epidemic prevention and control and economic development, according to local officials.

That's by assisting laborers by giving advice on their rights, providing businesses with standardized employment management guidance services and helping enterprises resume work and production, officials added.

The bureau has collected and sorted out complaints and reports cases through fax and social networking platforms WeChat and QQ.

It has assigned the cases to labor security inspectors to handle online and various documents have been delivered by mail and fax to reduce gatherings of people.

Meanwhile, the bureau has used modern information platforms to publish the requirements of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Guizhou Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department and the Guiyang municipal human resources and social security department.

These are on employment guidance services and labor rights protection services. The platforms have also been used to publicize and explain policies and regulations concerning such things as wage payments, work injury identifications, rest and vacation – as well as answering questions from enterprises and workers.

Additionally, the bureau also issued a letter requiring project managers and responsible authorities in the construction industry to provide guidance on real-name management, salary security storage and payment of work-related injury insurance for newly started and resumed projects.

As of Mar 10, 82 construction enterprises in Qingzhen city had resumed production and 35 major projects have resumed construction, with 98.2 percent of employees having returned to work.
